Solvang Library's Ghost Story Challenge 2021 Entry Deadline

Solvang Library's Ghost Story Challenge 2021 Entry Deadline is Friday October 22 at 5 pm.

The challenge is open to adults and to teens 6th grade and up.  Write a 500 word (or less) story that is mysterious, or scary and involves the supernatural.  Submit your story in the body of an email (no attachments) to Solvanglibrary@cityofgoleta.org.  Include your full name, and category you are entering.  If you are a student please include grade.  Winners will be announced on Saturday October 30, and the stories read aloud!  It's TBD whether the reading event will be live or virtual- stay tuned!

SY River Basin EMA Draft Groundwater Sustainability Plan - Public Comment Deadline



A public draft of the Santa Ynez River Valley Groundwater Basin - Eastern Management Area Groundwater Sustainability Plan was recently released.  The report contains information on Basin Conditions and on future Sustainability Goals and Objectives. The community has the opportunity to review and comment on the Groundwater Sustainability Plan. The public comment period ends on October 24th, 2021. If you would like to comment, please do so by this deadline.
